These waters attract a diverse species of large billfish including; blue marlin, striped marlin, black marlin and sailfish. Anglers in search of marlin should expect a tough fight taking up to a couple hours. Other local and migrating species are also abundant in these waters; roosterfish, yellowfin tuna, mahi-mahi (dorado), wahoo, amberjack, giant pacific dog snapper, among others.

Marlin Fishing

El Jefe Sport Fishing offers a unique Marlin fishing experience for serious fishermen. This unique fishing experience is available during the “Green Season” (typically from June – November) however, this incredible trip can be booked year round.

Considered truly an offshore trip, we run deep into the Pacific waters in search of these majestic creatures (typically 50-60 miles). Make sure to book your next fishing trip with El Jefe and take advantage of Costa Rica’s outstanding Marlin fishing.
